About

I have been helping new parents get clued up about birth and babies since 2003. The Knowledge Antenatal Classes aim to give reliable and practical help to Learner Parents. A major key to having a good birth experience is high quality information. You can't choose if you don't know the choices.

I love running my classes (actually I love my whole job) and take the sessions myself when I can, with help from Lucy. Between us we have a combined 20 years of midwifery experience. The least that you deserve is the best that we can give.

Antenatal Classes

The Knowledge Antenatal Classes are for everyone, whether you are planning to have your baby privately or via the NHS.

Each of the 7 sessions focusses on a specific topic including knowing when you're in labour, managing pain, relaxation techniques, the hospital and baby feeding choices. Basic babycare is covered, as well as vital instruction on newborn and child emergency resuscitation. This final session is open to all including grandparents, babysitters - anyone who may care for your baby.

Midwife Homecare

We now offer postnatal midwife homecare for new parents to supplement your normal NHS midwifery visits. Our midwives have many years of midwifery experience, are up to date with current practice, and are mothers themselves. They are kind, easy to talk to, and very down to earth.

A postnatal homecare package consists of 10 hourly visits. You can use that time however you'd like over a three week period. You may want a visit every day for 10 days or spread out a little. Telephone support is also included.
